Liz Gordon has been a birder for 25 years. After growing up in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and not knowing about the birds in her backyard for 13 years, she discovered Green Jays and chachalacas. There was no stopping her after that. She helped found the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival, and was a mentor for the ABA/Leica Tropicbirds in Texas and Cape May. She first volunteered and eventually became Adjutant at the ABA office. A passion for birds and protecting their habitats drives her every day.
