What our clients say about us

Robert Wilcox
MB, Ecuador - Northern: Ultimate Amazon I 2026

Bobby Wilcox is an excellent guide. He is a skilled birder and clearly worked hard to prepare for the trip. It is a different experience being in a group of 8 with a guide (+ local guide) compared to just the two of us with a dedicated guide (on our custom tour), and it took us a little while to adapt to that, but we really enjoyed the trip. Most members of our group of 8 clients had extensive worldwide birding experience, whilst our expertise was much more limited. Bobby did a good job of supporting us and making sure that everyone got to see as many birds as possible and enjoyed the trip. We would be very happy to go on another tour with Bobby in the future. As mentioned previously in our "Northern Ecuador" feedback - we were very happy with the support that we received from Rockjumper. Thanks very much - we had a wonderful time!

Dušan Brinkhuizen
CM, Ecuador 2018

The tour was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Dušan Brinkhuizen is an excellent guide, a superb birder whose enthusiasm is infectious. We had members of our group with differing levels of birding skills, fitness and expectations. Dušan showed a high level of professionalism and went out of his way to meet everyone's expectations of the trip.

Robert Wilcox
KB, Ecuador - Northern: Ultimate Amazon I 2026

As with previous tours with him, Bobby did a great job and continues impress me with his incredible dedication to getting people on birds and wildlife. He spotted a puma from the bar/viewing area at Sani lodge (the first seen in 15 years according to the local guide) and rather than enjoy the view himself, he didn't hesitate to go running down the boardwalk to get people out of their rooms so they had an opportunity to see it. Just an extreme example of what he did every day for every bird that someone was struggling to see. Our local guide Carlos was also excellent. He did a great job finding birds.

Amanda Guercio
KK, Ecuador - Hummingbirds Adventure (Relaxed) 2026

I had a great trip! Amanda and Gabriel were awesome guides; would tour with either of them again. Both were very knowledgeable and took extra time to ensure everyone saw the birds. The locations chosen were beautiful. The only thing that could have been better was that the printed bird list did not include the expected birds for the east side. We had a number of write ins for very common birds. It was so fun to see so many types of hummingbirds.

Adam Walleyn
JC, Ecuador - Northern: Ultimate Amazon II 2025

Another great trip! Adam was excellent, as always, and Marcello was uncanny in his ability to locate birds.
